Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our Human Resources department. The HR Intern will assist with a wide range of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the HR field while learning about various HR processes and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Human Resources projects such as review of HR policies to enhance compliance with the Employment and Labour Relations Act, Job analysis, Job evaluation, compensation and retention, staff placement and the like.
- Advise management team on pertinent HR trends and development programs that promote performances, initiatives and adaptations of new ways of working i.e. WORK SMART
- Participate in the recruitment processes to ensure competitive processes to identify rightful candidates for the positions. (advertisement, screening of applications, shortlisting and coordination of interviews)
- Maintain accurate and updated personnel records in HR databases and ensure confidentiality for all sensitive documentation.
- Drive performance management processes for effective employee performances by communicating clearly the guidelines for effective performance reviews, and timeline.
- Coordinate with Admin team on employee’s wellness programs and encourage health initiatives program to maintain good health workforce.
- Facilitate training programs based on Training Need Analysis- business driven training program
- Ensure frequent reminder notes and sessions on effective time management, adherence to work schedules, delivery, and self-development for career growth.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by Superiors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, or related field of expertise from a recognized and reputable University.
- A team player with a positive mindset, able to relate with different levels of staff with multidisciplinary background, opinion and views.
- Strong knowledge of the Employment and Labour Relations Act and practices, and ability to identify compliance risks and mitigate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- IT proficiency in the use of office MS programs
- Past relevant experience will be an added advantage.
